Enjoy What God Gives You!!

Everyone of us have had the day to day distractions get in our way of Joy, Peace and celebration of God's Glory. It's time to step back and "Enjoy What God Gives You" ......


(Straight from the Book of Ecclesiastes; From King Solomon)

The key word in Ecclesiastes is vanity, "The futile emptiness of trying to be happy apart from God"

The Preacher; (Also known to be Solomon. The wisest , richest most influential King in Israel's history) looks at life "under the sun" and from the human perspective, declares it all to be empty. Power, popularity, prestige, pleasure--nothing can fill the God shaped void in man's life but God Himself! 

But once seen from God's perspective, life takes on meaning and purpose, causing Solomon to exclaim, "Eat...drink...rejoice...do good...live joyfully...fear God...keep His commandments!"
Skepticism and despair melt away when life is viewed as a daily gift from God.

Sounds like great advice to me, what about you? It is so easy to get caught up, bogged down, depressed about the world around us with what is "The enemy" (The Devil) who, like I have coined the reference before...not only does the enemy come to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10;10) The enemy is the King of distractions, we can't make it any easier for him. 

I watched the news for 20 minutes this morning, Talk about a downer with a total lack of hope, it is so depressing. Not one positive issue or story. That along with our jobs, kids, spouses, cellphones, TV, facebook, tablets, video games etc.. 

It is the enemies gold mine of people with, lost hope, lost time and the loss of precious memories with the people we love and enjoy the most.

This is not the world, God intended us to live in. The Secular world and the enemy has attacked us and especially our kids from all sides as we just watch and let it happen.  

I was in that same boat as so many others, drowning in distractions..But NO MORE... wants I received the Grace of God, "The Gift" of all gifts, I now am thankful for each day and each breath I take. 

I soak up all of God's creation without fear of rumors of war, murder and mayhem nation against nation. (Matthew 24:6) You to can have this freedom of no fear with joy and peace. Find out more.

This is what God meant for us to do while we are on this short trip. Keep His commandments, do His works, and be joyful giving thanks and Glory to Him. 

King Solomon explains just that in Ecclesiastes 5:18-20 

(18) Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of life which God gives him: for it is his heritage.

(19) As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it,
to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor---this is the gift of God.

(20) For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with joy in his heart.  

What King Solomon and I are trying to say is that you can not find joy and peace without God. Something will be missing and you will feel it, I guarantee it. I felt that feeling for many years!! 
It's God knocking, don't wait to answer.
